Mobile Drum
The Drum Blender is designed for dry powders blending and homogenisation. It is used in all pharmaceutical, chemical, food, plastic and mineral handling processes, where it is needed to mix the powders homogeneously and directly into the drums avoiding the loading, unloading and cleaning operations of the mixer.
The Drum Blender is managed by a PLC system connected to the safety sensors and to the closing system of the external structure. It drives the electric motor for the drum rotation. This motor is able to rotate both clockwise and anticlockwise the drum, at a variable speed according to the specifications requested by the customer.
The Drum Blender creates a blending effect up to 30° thanks to a "tilting" system.
It has a high-tech design and a structure that makes it easy to inspect and clean. It is made up:
- Galvanized carbon steel internal and carrier structure;
- Stainless steel AISI 304 External casing;
- Stainless steel AISI 304 external safety structure and lexan panels, with electric-strike lock system as to ensure the mixing in complete safely (in case the Drum Blender was not installed inside a working room solely dedicated to that machine);
- Fixed front wheels and pivoting rear wheels (with brake) that allow the easy movement of the machine inside the department;
- Stainless steel AISI 304 Arm projected to mixing Drums from 2 until 200 liters, with 200 kgs as maximum capacity;
- Gear-motor group for the arm rotation;
- Taking System of Drum with a simple design and easy-to-tight closing bands
- Touch panel from which it is possible to carry out the loading/unloading and mixing of Drum.
There are two main models of Drum Blender, the smallest one can mix drums from 2 until 50 liters; the biggest one can mix drums from 50 to 200 liters.
The Drum Blender is designed in accordance with the "cGMP guidelines" standards, in compliance with current safety regulations, UNI EN ISO standards, ATEX regulations (if required) and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations according to which we provide a security central system, an automatic roles differentiation, the reporting and traceability of transactions.
In line with AGIERRE’s design and construction philosophy the Drum Blender can be customized according to the specific process requests by the Customer; it falls within the Industry 4.0 machinery category for its technological operation managed by computerized systems and for the ergonomics improvement and workplace safety in line with 4.0 logic.
